Financial Literacy
Financial illiteracy affects everyone.
“Financial illiteracy is not an issue unique to any one population. It affects everyone: men and women, young and old, across all racial and socioeconomic lines. No longer can we stand by and ignore this problem. The economic future of the United States depends on it.” -President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy
"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest."
– Benjamin Franklin
Financial literacy is the ability to understand and use financial information to make smart decisions about money. It includes knowledge of how money works, how to earn and manage it, and how to save for the future.
According to recent statistics, nearly 50% of U.S. citizens are financially illiterate and 70% of younger generations report that they wish they had received financial literacy education. It is important to recognize financial literacy as an essential skill, just as we do with reading, writing, and math. "Individuals with higher financial literacy are more likely to live within their means, have three months' worth of income in an emergency fund and have at least one kind of retirement account." In addition, they have better ethical and critical thinking skills, less financial stress and anxiety, and healthier relationships.
With this information, InRelation Academy is proud to offer a year-long, consistently taught, financial literacy program for all grade levels. Students will enjoy learning about finances through real-life scenarios and project-based learning which will help them to understand how to make sound financial decisions throughout their lifetime.
We also offer adult financial literacy classes, for more information please get in touch with InRelation Academy.

World Geography
In addition to social studies, world geography is a dedicated class. Students often show interest in the greater world and where they are in it. World Geography contributes to spatial awareness, critical thinking, cultural understanding, making and understanding connections, and understanding the world. Students with these skills generally do better in other academic and personal areas because they gain background knowledge, which helps them relate, incorporate, and use new information.
